James G.

James G. is a fifth-generation Dallas, TX native. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (cum laude) from Howard University where he was commissioned as a student to complete a mural on campus. Since undergraduate studies, he has worked in public librarianship for approximately eight years. He is currently enrolled as a graduate student at the University of North Texas where he is pursuing a Master of Science in Library Science.

Kenneth Rogers

Kenneth currently works at Turnitin as a Training Consultant in the eastern United States and Canada. His clients are institutions of higher education, and he uses his skills and knowledge to train employees of these institutions how to implement educational technology to improve the learning process. Throughout his career, he has worked in both the private and public sectors as a Learning Specialist, Trainer, or Learning Management System Administrator, helping both educational institutions and industry implement instructional technology tools.

Health Informatics Lecture Series

The Health Informatics Program, Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas is pleased to announce the Health Informatics Lecture Series for the academic year 2022-2023. The first lecture will be delivered by Cortnie Abercrombie, CEO, AI Truth on Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. (central). 

The title of the presentation is “Ethical Considerations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare”. In 2022, she published the book: “What You Don't Know: AI's Unseen Influence on Your Life and How to Take Back Control.”
