COI: What is your current major, degree plan, and professional concentration?

Venkata: I'm pursuing an information science master's degree with a concentration in health informatics.

COI: Why did you apply for this scholarship and what made you think you were a good match for it?

Venkata: I thought I was a worthy candidate for this scholarship because I received "A" grades in all three courses of my first semester's which made me apply for this scholarship.

COI: What are some highlights of your time in the program so far? Do you want to shout out any specific courses or professors who have helped you along the way?

Venkata: In INFO 5365 (MEDICAL INFORMATICS) and INFO 5637 (MEDICAL INFORMATICS), I gained a lot of knowledge. I've learned about SQL and R programming in this course, which are crucial skills for surviving in the competitive IT sector.

COI: What are your career plans after graduation?

Venkata: My career goal is to work as a health data analyst, which involves maintaining and organizing sizable, diverse data sets, examining healthcare data to enhance business processes, and presenting their results through data visualization and in-depth reports.
