Professional Training through Research Assistantships
Through a number of research projects, several UNT students received professional training and experience in methods and procedures involved in language documentation -- data collection, fieldwork, transcription, translation and analysis of texts, database management, metadata collection, and lexicography. The students worked on three research project: Documentation of Mankiyali Language, Burushaski Language Documentation Project, Digitization of Endangered Manuscripts of Kashmir, and Kashmiri Dictionary Project.
