Application

Please read the following important information and submit all required materials by February 28, 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be and remain a full-time undergraduate student with strong academic record
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of college coursework or equivalent
  • Must attend daily activities in person at the UNT Discovery Park during the 10-week program
  • Students from underrepresented groups (women, minorities, and persons with disabilities) and academic institutions with limited research opportunities are especially welcome

Required Materials:

  • A resume or curriculum vitea which includes information related to programming skills, classes taken, research/work experience, and any other relevant information.
  • A copy of your transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are fine.
  • Contact information for a reference who can comment on your academic preparation in college and any research experiences, community involvement, ect. 

Important Dates:

  • February 28, 2025: Application deadline
  • March 15, 2025: Notification date. Once an offer of acceptance has been extended to an applicant, a confirmation must be received within one week of the offer date.
  • May 19, 2025: REU program starting date
  • July 25, 2025: REU program ending date
Financial Incentive:
  • $7,000 stipend
  • Housing covered
  • Travel and meal allowance
  • All types of income are taxable
