• "Capacity building for data literacy leadership among community college librarians" was presented as a poster at ACRL 2025 by Dr. Kim, Dr. Hong, Dr. Lund, and Kwon.
• "Development and validation of a data literacy assessment scale" was presented as a paper at 2023 ASIS&T Annual Meeting by Dr. Kim, Dr. Hong, Dr. Evans, Rice-Oyler, & Ali. 
• "Toward an understanding of data literacy needs in community colleges: A conceptual framework" was presented as a poster at ACRL 2023. Dr. Kim, Dr. Hong, Dr. Evans, Ali, and Rice-Oyler.
• "A comparative analysis of data literacy competency framework" was presented as a poster at ALISE 2022 Annual Meeting by Dr. Kim and Catrina Berka. 
• "Defining data literacy: An empirical study of data literacy dimension" was presented as a poster at ALISE 2021 Annual Meeting  by Drs. Kim, Hong, and Evans.

 

Panels, Workshops, & Webinars

• Drs. Kim and Lund presented their paper, "The value of data literacy: Insights from community college students," during the webinar celebrating Library Trends 74(3), "Data Literacy: Navigating the Shift from Hype to Reality!"
• Dr. Kim hostd a Winter institute titled "Empowering information professionals through data literacy: Skills, applications, and ethics" at JCDL 2024.
• Dr. Kim participated in the panel titled "Data literacy in supporting an inclusive information environment" at iConference 2023.
