Information Science
Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T)
The UNT ASIS&T Student Chapter provides UNT students access to ASIS&T programs and conferences. Furthermore, it connects students with a professional information
science community at large, by promoting the advancement of information science within
academic curricula. The ASIS&T student chapter allows UNT students to participate
in ASIS&T student activities and to contribute to personal growth and career development.

The UNT Data Science Organization promotes interest in the emerging field of Data
Science and represents student needs regarding events, computational resources, facilities,
and other support. The organization provides a competitive scientific and technical
environment that encourages students and researchers to leverage the data science
skills, knowledge, and qualifications required by both the industry and academics.
Additionally, this association assists students in finding suitable Data Science related
careers by hosting relevant events that can connect students with potential employers.

Health Informatics Student Organization
The mission of the Health Informatics Student Organization (HISO) is to promote student
exposure in the rapidly developing field of health informatics and to advocate their
interests in terms of activities, informatics resources, facilities, and other forms
of assistance. Through HISO, you can interact with healthcare and informatics professionals,
connect with research opportunities, and participate in exciting activities such as
workshops, networking sessions, and webinars.

Library & Information Sciences Student Association (LISSA)
The Library and Information Sciences Student Association is a Department of Information
Science sponsored student organization, constituted for the purpose of enhancing the
academic and professional careers of all its members. The LISSA group is very active,
and hosts several informative and fun activities each semester. The Association is
open to all students in the Library Science, Information Science, and Data Science
programs.

Learning Technologies
Learning Technologies Student Association
The Learning Technologies Student Association aims to foster community; nurture scholarly pursuits; develop multidisciplinary collaborations; connect with various industries, academic institutions, and alumni; amplify student skills; and enrich opportunities within the learning technologies field. Members must be students majoring in Learning Technologies. However, students who exhibit a vested interest in the Learning Technologies field may join as Associate Members.

Linguistics
Student Linguistic Association of North Texas (SLANT)
"Our mission is to develop an environment in which linguists (faculty and students
alike) can share their knowledge, interests, and current research with the overall
goal of facilitating our intellectual growth and strengthening our academic community.
We will achieve this through special topics reading groups, faculty presentations,
colloquia (organized through the LTC Colloquium Series), round tables, film series,
and more, to which all are welcome!"
