Dallas AI proudly welcomes Dr. Kinshuk, Dean of the College of Information, to its esteemed Advisory Board, marking a significant step toward bridging the gap between industry and academia, in line with Dallas AI's mission to foster an AI hub in the region.

Aamer Charania, President and Founder of Dallas AI, shares, “Dallas AI is the largest nonprofit AI forum in North Texas with the mission to transform Dallas into a vibrant hub for AI. I’m personally passionate about AI and its impact on improving our lives. Sometime back, faculty from Dr. Kinshuk’s Information Science Department were looking for industry support towards the proposed PhD in Data Science program at UNT. Of course, I was more than happy to support and that’s when Dr. Kinshuk and I got connected.” 

Aamer continues, “Later I saw that under the wonderful leadership of Dr. Kinshuk, Fortune ranked UNT Master’s in Data Science program as #2 in the nation, right next to Harvard! At this time, I was also looking to expand the Dallas AI Board to include leaders from local universities, so we not only help Dallas area professionals but also the student communities. With Dr. Kinshuk’s amazing background and leadership, I believe Dallas AI is fortunate to have him on the board and looking forward to getting Dallas AI and UNT collaborate to help the UNT community interested in AI. The collaboration will include hosting Dallas AI events at UNT, having industry leaders speak at UNT, UNT faculty speak at Dallas AI and more.”

Dr. Kinshuk brings extensive experience and expertise to the Advisory Board from his distinguished academic career, including senior leadership roles at various universities. His contributions include hundreds of publications, keynote addresses at conferences, and participation on various boards. 

Dallas AI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, boasts over 5,000 professional members from diverse industries, making it North Texas's largest AI forum. Over six years, it has organized 60+ educational events, collaborating with top companies and academic institutions like Google, Microsoft, IBM, MIT, UT, and SMU.
