The University of North Texas College of Information, in collaboration with Dallas AI, invites researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to participate in InfoFORCE 2026: Information & AI Weekend.

InfoFORCE 2026: Information & AI Weekend is an interdisciplinary event that explores the  Future Opportunities in Research, Collaboration, and Education (FORCE) which will have a direct impact on the evolving relationship between AI and information. We welcome presentation proposals that highlight AI’s impact across the disciplines represented in the UNT College of Information, including:

  • Information Science
  • Library Science
  • Health Informatics
  • Data Science
  • Learning Technologies
  • Linguistics

Presentation Formats

  • Keynote Presentations (20-30 min. presentation + 15 min. audience Q&A)
  • Lightning Talks (7–10 min. presentations): Concise, fast-paced insights or provocations.
  • Panel Discussions (30 min. moderated discussion + 15 min. audience Q&A): Interactive sessions featuring experts addressing a specific theme.
  • Workshops or Demonstrations: Hands-on or applied sessions, upon request/availability.

Suggested Topics:

  • AI in education, libraries, or healthcare
  • Ethical implications of AI and information
  • Machine learning in data curation or language analysis
  • Generative AI in research or instructional design
  • AI-driven accessibility and inclusivity
  • Natural language processing and computational linguistics
  • Human-centered design in AI systems
  • Interdisciplinary AI applications and collaborations

Who Should Submit

Industry professionals, AI practitioners, and enthusiasts from related disciplines. We encourage submissions from professional perspectives and welcome proposals that foster collaboration, innovation, and critical discussion.
