Location: University of North Texas, Denton, TX or Frisco, TX Campus Locations (depending on the topic).

The UNT College of Information and Dallas AI invite researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to submit abstracts and presentation proposals for InfoFORCE: Information and AI Week. This interdisciplinary event focuses on exploring Future Opportunities in Research, Collaboration, and Education (FORCE) through the lens of Artificial Intelligence and Information.

We welcome submissions that highlight the intersection of AI with the disciplines represented within the College of Information:

  • Information Science
  • Library Science
  • Health Informatics
  • Data Science
  • Learning Technologies
  • Linguistics

Presentation Formats

  • Keynote Speakers (20-30 min.)
  • Lightning Talks (7–10 min.): Fast-paced presentations sharing insights, innovations, or provocations in AI-related topics.
  • Panel Discussions (30 min. moderated discussion; 15 min. audience Q&A): Interactive sessions featuring multiple experts addressing a specific theme.
  • Workshops or Demos: Hands-on or practical sessions (upon request/availability).

We encourage submissions on, but not limited to:

  • AI in education, libraries, or healthcare
  • Ethical implications of AI and information
  • Machine learning in data curation or language analysis
  • Generative AI in research or instructional design
  • AI-driven accessibility and inclusivity
  • Natural language processing and computational linguistics
  • Human-centered design in AI systems
  • Interdisciplinary AI applications and collaborations

Please submit your abstract (max 300 words) and brief presenter bio by Friday, September 12th, 2025.
