The UNT College of Information and Dallas AI invite student researchers and educators to submit abstracts and poster proposals for InfoFORCE 2026: Information and AI Weekend, an interdisciplinary event focused on exploring the Future Opportunities in Research, Collaboration, and Education (FORCE) through the lens of AI and information.

This event welcomes submissions that highlight the intersection of AI with the disciplines represented within the College of Information:

  • Information Science
  • Library Science
  • Health Informatics
  • Data Science
  • Learning Technologies
  • Linguistics

*College of Information faculty can submit in collaboration with COI students.

Selection Process:

  • Selection: 24 posters total (12 posters per day) selected by College of Information Faculty
  • Judging: The faculty and invited industry partners will judge posters on each day of the event, awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place posters based on the following criteria:
  • Research quality and rigor - 25%
  • Clarity and organization - 25%
  • Poster design and visual communication - 10%
  • Use of sources and academic integrity - 15%
  • Overall impact - 25%
  • Decision: You will be notified with a decision of acceptance/denial on Monday, March 30th by 5pm.

How to Submit:

  • Abstract (max. 300 words): Due via the submission form on March 18th by 11:59 PM
  • If you have a completed poster ready to go, you must still submit an abstract to be considered.

Due Later (Upon Acceptance):

Accepted final posters should be submitted to CI-Events@unt.edu by Friday, March 27th at 5pm. All posters submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • Size: 48" wide × 36" tall (4ft.×3ft.)
  • Format: PDF recommended for best quality.

PRINTING: The College of Information Dean’s Office will print any accepted posters for this event, as needed. Any posters printed by the College will be considered property of the College and will be kept by the Dean’s Office to be considered for permanent display. 

Posters not submitted by the final deadline (Friday, March 27th at 5pm) will not be printed.

If you already have a printed poster that meets the above requirements, please drop it off at the College of Information Dean’s Office by Wednesday, April 8th at 5pm.
