BrainWave: A Real-Time EEG Processing Toolbox:
BrainWave is an EEG toolbox that being developed as a package that can be dropped
into a Unity game engine so that any virtual environment has the capability of becoming
adaptive. The toolbox provides mechanism for cleaning, processing, and converting
EEG data for the built-in machine learning algorithms. Once the data is processed
it can easily be fed as input for the Artificial intelligence for the virtual environment
so that it can best decide how to best customize the environment for the user. The
primary goal for BrainWave is a toolbox that can be utilized for building adaptive
learning, training, assessment, and rehabilitation environments as well as dynamic
video games.
Dynamic Video Game:
Utilizing EEG and Brainwave, the MxR Lab is currently developing a dynamic video game
that will allow the game to change based upon the current affect of the player. As
the player progresses through the video game their engagement, arousal and flow are
measured in real-time. Based upon the user current state the Artificial intelligence
within Brainwave determines the current affect of the user and best decides how the
current level within the video games should change to customize the game for the player.
