What is CHILL?

CHILL is designated for the exploration of social and technological issues impacting human culture, heritage, and the arts and humanities. Research activities for the Lab include work in the areas of archival science, digital humanities, and social informatics. Interdisciplinarity is central to our mission. Interested collaborators are encouraged to contact the Lab's directors.

What is Computational Humanities?

Computational humanities is an interdisciplinary field that uses computational methods and tools to explore, analyze, and interpret human culture, history, literature, and other aspects of the humanities. It blends traditional humanities disciplines (like history, literature, philosophy, art, and cultural studies) with computer science, data analysis, and digital technologies.

What is Information Literacy?

Information literacy is the ability to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, and use that information effectively and ethically. It's a foundational skill in education, research, and digital citizenship.
