About me
My name is Xiaoyu Zhang, and I also go by Monica. I am originally from Shenzhen, China. I am a first year doctoral student in Department of Information Science (Data Science) at University of North Texas.

Research Interests
My research interests are in the areas of interested in Data Science, Information Retrieval and Data Mining including natural language processing, data visualization, data analytics, electronic discovery in legal cases, and health information retrieval. I have been working as a Research Assistant at Dr.Jiangping Chen's IIA lab since August 2017, which focuses on intelligent information access and its application in various areas related to digital libraries, knowledge management, health informatics, multilingual information access and other related areas.
