Dr. Jeonghyun "Annie" Kim recently concluded her participation in the University of North Texas (UNT) Faculty Leadership Fellows Program, a year-long initiative aimed at cultivating leadership skills among faculty members. The program, overseen by The Office of the Provost, culminated in a ceremony on May 9, 2024.

Established in 2008, the UNT Leadership Fellows program is designed to empower emerging leaders within the university community by providing opportunities for both individual and organizational growth. Fellows engage in a range of activities, including meetings with senior administrators, participation in college-level leadership projects, leadership assessments, book discussions, and various developmental opportunities.

Dr. Kim, a professor in the Information Science Department, specializes in digital curation, data management, digital libraries and humanities, data literacy, and library and information science education.

“As a Faculty Leadership Fellow, Dr. Kim took a data-driven approach to analyze DFWI rates (that include D grade, F grade, Withdraw or Incomplete) of the students in the College of Information. This project directly aligns with our ‘student first’ approach towards helping students realize their dreams and achieve their aspirations. I look forward to Dr. Kim’s continued leadership and support in the implementation of the recommendations that resulted from the project,” Dean Kinshuk shares.
